I had deleted my previous installation of sapgui 7.30. The saplogon.ini files. The saplogon.ini files remained in.appdata Roaming SAP. There are no logon. When creating a SAP GUI login session I state%APPDATA% saplogin.ini (and I have placed the saplogin.ini file in the path%APPDATA% refers to). The file can't be found so it. What version of the add-on is installed? The SAP Gui Add-on. ' Hi All, I have set up a single installation package on our SAPGui Install server. This will be used to install/update users running Win2000/XP/Vista. For users upgrading to the latest SAPGui, i don't want to replace their existing saplogon.ini. Blank dd214 usmc. For users installing the GUI for the first time, i want to copy saplogon.ini from the server to the local pcs. For Win2000/XP, this location will be%WINDIR%. For Vista it will be%USERPROFILE% AppData Local VirtualStore Windows (apologies, the backslash comes up as an apostrophe for me!). In my On-End-Install or On-End-Update event, i want to be able to check if a folder or directory exists but i am having trouble getting this to work. I want to check if the%USERPROFILE% path exists and if it does then copy saplogon.ini from the server to that location, otherwise if this directory does not exist then copy it to the%WINDIR% location instead. Can anyone tell me how to script for the existence of a folder/directory? This is the script i but it does not work due to the NwEngine.Shell.DirectoryExist (apostrophe's again in place of backslash!). StrSrcFile = NwEngine.Variables.ResolveString('%SapSrcDir% CustomFile saplogon.ini') strDst1File = NwEngine.Variables.ResolveString('%USERPROFILE% AppData Local VirtualStore Windows saplogon.ini') strDst2File = NwEngine.Variables.ResolveString('%WinDir% saplogon.ini') strDstDir = NwEngine.Variables.ResolveString('%USERPROFILE% AppData Local VirtualStore Windows') ' If NwEngine.Shell.DirectoryExist( strDstDir ) Then NwEngine.Shell.CopyFile strSrcFile, strDst1File, vbTrue Else NwEngine.Shell.CopyFile strSrcFile, strDst2File, vbTrue End If Thanks, George'. Good Day George I'm pretty sure that the default behaviour on an 'upgrade' will not replace the existing saplogon.ini file (unless you are scripting that additionally yourself). That would only be an issue if you were doing a full removal and then a reboot & fresh install. You can test that to be sure. Does the source directory named /customfile work also? I have only ever used a directory named /custom to deploy.ini & service files. I have no experience yet deploying to Vista PCs.
